Why on earth are nursery letting a 4 year old nap! No wonder he wouldn’t sleep!

As a fellow SAHM, I couldn’t recommend more putting your baby in nursery for like two mornings a week. It’s like SAHMums also need a break from all the childcare because it’s a 24/7 job! My one year old goes to nursery in the morning for like 3 hours twice a week and I get this time to sort out the house, prep for dinner or just go to the gym 😅 It just helps me so much mentally. If we take care of ourselves too we will be happier mums ❤

You're doing such a good job. You have the patience of a saint. I've got the same problem when my daughter wants UA-cam. She can only watch cartoons on it like Pepa pig, paddington, bing and classics like Tom and Jerry. The other videos are very weird. But she wants to watch everything so I tell her no. That's when the meltdown starts 😂

So glad to hear Hallies thumbs are untucking and she's cracking on with the bum shuffle! Your have such a healthy mindset on her development. I scared myself and was in constant flight/flight for a good three or four months worrying about my daughter's development after a traumatic birth. I definitely do still worry, but am no longer being dr google, accepting some uncertainty (as you would have woth any childs development), hoping for the best etc Hope it all continues to go well 😊

My son was exactly the same as Hallie! He is now 20 months, began walking very unsteadily at 18 months. Definitely hyper mobile - he'd be so limp when held as a baby and his wee joints are so loose. He is now running! I did so much research and terrified myself. It was all for nothing <3 xx

Pregnancy is definitely a very sacred moment for women. It is a big sacrifice to be using their own body to form a new life. Yet they remain so beautiful. That huge belly and growing breasts are just reminders of that sacred act of childbearing.

Raising children is a job on it own back in the old days mothers would have more than 10 children, take care of them do the household work and prepare food for the husband

My eldest was 2.5y when he started walking without holding on. He could walk from about 1year but wasn't interested in walking alone. We worked with the HV. He's now running everywhere! Also a mum of 2. It's hard but definitely easier around the time they wean onto solids. Self care is definitely important! I'm getting better x

I'm pretty certain my son has hypermobility as he didn't crawl until he was around 1, and he didn't walk until he was about 17 months old. I'm hypermobile, as well as my mum and brother. I hadn't even though that could be the reason he was later than others until you first mentioned it a while ago now. I just thought he was a slow walker. So I wouldn't worry about it, Halle will crawl and walk when she's ready 🙂 Absolutely agree with speaking to a HV with any worries though! I've been worried that my son's speech is behind where it should be and after 6 months of waiting, he's finally been diagnosed with glue ear, so he hasn't been able to hear properly! He'll be getting a temporary hearing aid tomorrow as the waiting list for grommets could be a year where we are which would bring us up to when he starts school and we don't want him falling further behind in the meantime.

My 6 year old is autistic and adhd I’ve been looking at trying this magnesium for a while because currently he’s prescribed melatonin and I would love to get him off that he’s also hypermobile so very restless thank you for sharing this. I will be purchasing some of this. X

If you don’t go back to work you have to pay back your occupational maternity pay. I guess if you make enough from social media you’ll be able to pay it off and not have to go back to work after the 1 year.

I think Halle will do it in her own time, don’t worry about it. but if she is diagnosed with cerebral palsy, horse riding is the best thing for helping her to strengthen her legs and back, and it will help her to walk normally, through my experience. What ever you do, don’t let her go for surgery to brake her legs and to reset them, as people have had it done and seem to be a lot worse later on in their life I.e arthritis and other problems. See your options first in nature ways before you make a big decision. Still speak to a doctor about it as every case is different but I would still get a second opinion.

A way to keep your calm and to distract the kids when you are all over stimulated/meltdowns etc is to sing! Sing a song that George might know, even a random/made up song. It's a technical us teachers use and it works really well!.

The new government funding is great for some parents but for me personally it leaves me at a disadvantage as I'm job hunting so rely on the full funded hours for my son...however from Sept I will have to pay some of the hours which I cannot afford to do..unless I get lucky and get a job ASAP because I'm going stir crazy 😂

My kiddo is hyper mobile. He started crawling at just over 11 months. He’s almost 13 months now and is raising himself on his knees like he wants to be up but still doesn’t have the strength to stand etc. it’s a bit stressful but like you I’m just going with the flow. My first was walking by one so it’s a whole new world!

Hi shan ❤ I'm really struggling with my 2 year old she never sleeps through she wakes up in the night wanting to get in my bed and stupidly I let her but it's the only way I can rest! She's quite full on in the day like being clingy and constantly saying mommy naps are out of the window and if she ever does fall asleep in the car we im buggered she won't be sleeping till 9 also she refuses to feed herself now she always wants me! When I was a kid up until about the age of 10 I would often wake up in the night in pain with my legs, I used to get terrible cramps and it was worse if I had a day were I was running around a lot. With how excitable and on the go George can be maybe it’s something to bear in mind. It might not be related at all but maybe something to think about if it helps x I used to get hot water bottles for my legs and massage them with olbas oil. Also maybe because you have to carry hallie down the stairs etc maybe it’s also an excuse to get you to carry him too? I believe his legs are genuinely hurting him at times but as kids i think we’ve all used something similar to be carried by mommy somewhere haha. As you said he managed to run round the kitchen. Hope his little legs feel better soon x
